Abstract & Paper Preparations

Policy for ISMB15 and Special Issue of the JSME Journal papers

In order to prevent a duplicate submission and copyright infringement, the ISMB15 organizing committee adopts the following policies.

  1. Number of pages

    ISMB15 Extended Abstract: 1~2 pages

    ISMB15 Full Paper: 4~8 pages

Special Issue of the JSME Journal: 8~12 pages

  2. There should be one-third or more difference between the symposium and journal versions.
  3. The title of the paper can be changed before submitting to the JSME Journal.

Extended Abstract

Please prepare your extended abstract using the template format. The length of the extended abstract is limited to two A4 (21 x 29.7 cm) pages (no exceptions).

The template file is used for the extended abstract only and available for MS word and LaTeX.

When preparing the extended abstract for your paper, please make sure that the main idea of your publication is clearly described. If there are still some parts missing, point them out in an outlook so your reviewers can grasp the full extent or your investigations. Extended abstracts should not include a separate abstract.

For the Microsoft Word template, click here.
For the LaTeX style files, click here.

(In case of MikTeX, use “XeLaTeX” command.)

After you complete your paper, convert it to Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF). The PDF file size should not exceed 6 MByte. Your abstract can be uploaded on the abstract page of the ISMB15 site:

http:// www.ismb15.org/

The deadline for the extended abstracts is December 25, 2015. The notifications of acceptance will be sent on March 11, 2016.

Full Paper

All authors of accepted abstracts are kindly requested to submit a full-length paper. Please prepare your final paper in the PDF format using the Word or LaTeX templates. The number of pages per paper is 4~8 pages. The template is almost the same as the JSME Journal format, so you can easily submit your paper to the JSME Journal after the symposium.

For the Microsoft Word template, click here.
For the LaTeX style files, click here.
(In case of MikTeX, use “XeLaTeX” command.)

For the Copyright transfer form files, click here.

Access

The nearest airports for the ISMB conference (Mojiko Hotel) are “Fukuoka International Airport” and “Kitakyushu Airport”. Fukuoka International Airport is more convenient than Kitakyushu Airport. But the transportations from Fukuoka International Airport to the ISMB conference (Mojiko Hotel) are a little more complicated than Kitakyushu Airport. Anyway, you can easily go to Kokura Station from Fukuoka International Airport or Kitakyushu Airport.

The nearest station of ISMB conference (Mojiko Hotel) is Mojiko Station. Be careful that Mojiko Station is different from Moji Station. You can easily go to Mojiko Station from Kokura Station by trains. Please check the time table ( http://www.hyperdia.com/en/ ) from Kokura Station to Mojiko Station.
